MEET THE JUDGES
Kevin Pang
is a James Beard Award-winning food journalist. He is Editorial Director of Digital for America’s Test Kitchen, and began his career at the Los Angeles Times and the Chicago Tribune. He was the founding editor-in-chief for The Takeout, a food and pop culture site from the team behind The Onion.
Rosie
is an inspiring 10-year-old who loves milkshakes and specializes in smiling. She founded Coming Up Rosies, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children through their medical journeys, especially those involving baldness. Coming Up Rosies donates Smile Kits to hospitals and charity organizations around the world, allowing children to customize their own scarves and superhero capes.
Dorri McWhorter
is President and CEO, YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago. Dorri doesn’t spend much time in the kitchen -- because she’s quite busy trying to change the world. But she is good with a blender and she loves milkshakes. Dedicated to equity and joy for all, Dorri will be assisted by Tuesday, her spoiled, ice cream-loving dog.
Christina Perozzi
is the Director of Marketing for Zeal Creamery. Christina previously worked at Goose Island Beer Company, where she created ground-breaking ways to engage audiences through food and drink. A certified beer sommelier, Christina has the sophisticated palate necessary for milkshake judging. She also knows her way around the kitchen.
Max
is the son of Christina Perozzi and a professional 6-year-old. Max has spent all summer drinking milkshakes and prepping for this competition that, well, we gave him his very own slot as a milkshake judge! He is quite the adventurous first grader and often can be found ordering his mom around the kitchen (using the magic word of course) demanding sweets.
